#0 - Open Eyes

Greetings,

Realizing technology will be apart of my personal life and professional life for a very long time I've come to reflect on my past. Growing up I've always been blessed to have computers, gaming systems, and cameras at my finger tips. I'm starting to realized that I am addicted to social media!!! Starting from middle school I loved MySpace. Eat. Sleep. Check MySpace. Then it was all about Facebook. Then around the time of high school, I received my first cell phone and I have been addicted since. Technology has played I big role in my life from submitting college applications to sending "I love you" texts to my parents. I am able to check emails and even make hair appointments instantly.

In my EME 2040 class I hope to learn more about the technology that I have at my finger tips. I want to know better ways to use the technology because I have heard of many cool tricks/ shortcuts that i can do with computers specifically. I would like to know how to create amazing spreadsheets. How to input formula's in excel and insert tables to Microsoft Word. Being able to connect technology to my future career as an educator is amazing. I would want my students to have an organized teacher who knows how to use technology because I did not have that opportunity. I would also enjoy creating a bond with my classmates since most of us are future educators.

Today in class i learned my learning style. I am more of a reflective learner than active one meaning i prefer to think quietly first. I like to think things through before i start on a new project. I am more of a sensing learner than intuitive learner which means i like to hear fun facts and i enjoy solving problems in an order. I am a visual learner so i prefer see what i am learning rather than to hear about it. Lastly, i am a sequential learner i like to follow order rather than to jump into something without know what to do. I agree with the quiz because i have those qualities but i enjoyed to exploring the different types of learning styles today.
